Flying High with Air Exchange

Tuesday, May 16th, 2017

Over the past Month or so ACS in Wrexham have been working on two projects, more on one later, but this project is a site of a new church in Flint, North Wales. This unit is for the roof ( their chosen site for the external unit ). It is a special housing which is suitable for external positioning also coated due to the sea salt in the air. This Air Exchange unit is to provide fresh air into the Church Hall, they are also having Air Conditioning for comfort cooling and heating.

Fire damaged unit

Monday, March 6th, 2017

ACS had a telephone call from a customer, asking them to come and remove the fire dust from an Fire damaged external Air Conditioning unit. Gareth visited to find that someone had set fire to some bins below the external unit and that had caused significant damage to the unit. The fans and fan guard had melted and inside components had melted due to the heat.

The best action to take from here would be to replace the unit, as with such significant damage you could be chasing faults replacing parts after parts. This shows a picture of the new unit behind the shop in Prenton, Wirral, but you can see the extensive heat / fire damage on the bricks.

New Dance Academy café heating

ACS were called in relatively late to the Delta Dance Academy, the owners had been very busy renovating an old tired unit into a modern Dance Academy, but they had found that the café area was very cold and needed some heating. Due to the size of the room and layout, ACS recommended two wall mounted Air Conditioning units would be the best solution.

Office move required Air Conditioning move

Friday, February 3rd, 2017

One of ACS’s oldest customers came to them a few weeks ago as they were moving offices, to a larger unit next door and it had no heating. Was it possible to move their existing Air Conditioning into the new office and also have a new unit? Of course.

ACS worked with the Llay, ( North Wrexham ) based company and around their moving in schedule to remove the existing Air Conditioning unit and also install a new unit, ready for occupation in their new office.

Sponsorship of U7’s

Friday, January 27th, 2017

As a nice reward of our continued sponsorship of the Wrexham Rugby Clubs U7’s team we were invited to come along to an ‘Evening with the players’.

Unknown to us before hand we were sitting on a table with the players, Eifion Lewis-Roberts and Mike Phillips.

We had a lovely evening and even managed to get a picture with the players and Wrexham U7 coach Andrew McGregor.

A Whitchurch based opticians was moving to a new premises, the new location had Air Conditioning fitted but in the wrong places for the new interior plan.

Step in ACS Air Conditioning. Moving units into the new locations, testing the units to check they were all working correctly and re-charging some of them. After all the building works the Air Conditioning units were all serviced and checked and a service report given to the customer.

This was the second time ACS has done this job for the same customer, the last was a site in Hoole, Chester. Where the units had to be taken off the walls, new walls were put up so pipework was hidden then the units were re-hung on the new walls.

Acs helping keep Holmes Chapel Locals beer cold

Monday, January 9th, 2017

Acs were approached by the Vicarage in Cranage, Homes Chapel to install a new cellar chiller. A pretty straightforward job of removing the gas from the existing unit, then removing the unit from site and disposing of under environmental regulations. Then a new install of a shiny new cellar chiller. Full commission with certificate and Jobs a good’un as they say. Check out the Vicarage on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/thevicaragehotel

Gareth, Grant and Sion have done it again, after the great success of the Feathers Inn, with a mixture of Sports pub and letting rooms they have new sister pub in the town. The Corporation Arms, just off the main square in Ruthin has been completely refurbished to a very high standard and opened this past weekend.

Acs installed the Air conditioning, three ceiling cassettes and cellar chiller, both were tricky, working around the beams of the pub ceiling and a very low ceiling in the cellar.

Follow the pubs antics on Facebook The Feathers Inn ~ Tafarn Y Plu and do call in and try some of their local ales.

Wrexham based ACS were very pleased to be working with a Shopfitting company based in South Wales to supply the Air Conditioning for a local Medi-Spa based in Chester city centre.

ACS installed a Daikin System which had mixture of Wall mounted units and ceiling cassettes depending on the clients requirements and room needs.

Suitable for both cooling and heating, the particular system has only one external unit which was the only option due to limited outdoor space. For safety and protection a cage covers the external unit.

Each room has a separate seven day timer, automatically turning the units on and off, which is very handy in winter for pre-warming rooms before staff arrive.

The Medi Spa can be found on Facebook – @medispagroup.co.uk
